HIGH PROTEIN CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsps Metalab Cocoa Chocolate Iso-Bridge Protein
  • 3 Tbsps flour
  • 2 Tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ Tsp baking powder
  • 1 Egg, room temperature
  • ¼ Cup milk, or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp greek yoghurt
  • ¼ Vanilla essence/extract
  • 3 Tsp dark chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a 1-cup ramekin with cooking spray. Alternatively, preheat your air fryer to 165°C.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the protein powder, flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, with a fork whisk the egg, milk, yogurt, and vanilla until well combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the ramekin, sprinkle the chocolate chips over it, then top with the remaining batter.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is mostly set but still slightly soft.
  6. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then enjoy straight from the ramekin or flip onto a plate. For an extra treat, serve with a dollop of low-cal vanilla frozen yogurt.
